Space Overview
From setting guidelines to redesign a university’s digital ecosystem to creating AI workshops grounded in ethics, and reimagining animation courses through social inquiry, each project explores how design can support more reflective and purposeful learning.
How I approach it
My design research practice focuses on making sense of complexity and turning insights into actionable direction. I combine qualitative research and visual synthesis to uncover tensions and question assumptions. Whether working with students or executive teams, I create learning spaces where we can reflect critically on our roles, navigate ethical dilemmas, and rethink how we design and collaborate.
Printed on paper to play is to exist
I led the user research to co-create a strategic guide focused on improving the digital experience of a university with strong regional presence across 12 areas of Peru. Instead of starting solely from the digital platforms, we began by understanding students' lived experiences, needs, and expectations across academic and personal dimensions. Through a mixed-method approach that included ethnographic follow-alongs, guerrilla interviews, group workshops, in-depth interviews, social media listening, and an online survey, we identified key tensions and opportunity areas related to learning, support systems, well-being, employability, and financial stress. Insights were synthesized into a shared framework that informs more aligned, human-centered decisions for ongoing digital transformation.

User Research
2025
As part of a broader effort to rethink the future of work in the context of rapid AI evolution, I synthesized previous research and facilitated alignment across teams to focus on critical questions beyond tool adoption. The initiative was aimed at equipping employees from a large corporate group with the mindset and skills to engage thoughtfully with GenAI. The research challenged the assumption that technology is always the answer and helped teams reflect on their workflows, ethical dilemmas, and the role of human judgment. Insights informed the design of virtual workshops prototyped through a game-based lens, which later evolved into in-person sessions with a stronger focus on critical and ethical thinking.

As part of the teaching team, I have contributed to reshaping the courses Diseño Digital 1 & 2 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru by integrating Research through Design into what was previously a purely technical curriculum. The course is refined each cycle to better respond to students’ needs, encouraging them to ground their animated stories in real-life issues and social contexts aligned with the SDGs. The approach invites students to question assumptions, reflect on their social position, and consider how these perspectives shape the narratives they build, all while strengthening their technical skills in After Effects.
